Château La Genestière

Château la Genestière, located in the village of Tavel, is the living memory of the region’s history. In the 16th century, the estate was a magnanery. The pond used to feed the mill to make silk is still here today. The wine history of the Château started in 1930, after silk farming came to an end. In 1994, Jean-Claude and Raphael Garcin bought the internationally renowned estate. After a few years of determination and know-how, Domaines Saint-Anthelme, Les Ramières et Longval were adjoined to Château la Genestière for a total surface of 200 ha of vines in the prestigious appellations of Tavel, Châteauneuf du Pape, Lirac and Côtes du Rhône. In 2015, the estate was bought by Christian Latouche, owner of two other estates in Baux de Provence. Nowadays, the Château la Genestière team has 10 passionate people who farm, vinify and care for the historic terroir in the southern Rhône Valley
