Stone Valley is named after the well-drained gravelly soils on which the vineyards are planted. Grapes for Stone Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 came from vineyards in Sloughouse, Clements Hills and Mokelumne river sub-appellations of Lodi. Floral violet aromas lead to a serious, quite austere palate, with some chewy rustic tannins. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Syrah, it was matured for four months with French oak and has a distinctive oaky flavour
