The Bosmans are always trying out new things: this is the only South African wine produced from Nero d’Avola. In 2004, Petrus brought cuttings back from Sicily to see how the varietal would do in Wellington’s hot dry climate. The 2018 is quite restrained on the nose with a concentrated palate revealing ripe fruit flavours of red cherries, berries and raspberry jam. It is firm with a lingering spicy finish.
