Ripe dark berry fruits, fresh blackberries, blackcurrants with a touch of vanilla and patisserie aromas. 2018 Les Peyrautins Syrah is medium bodied with good mid palate fruit and some structure. For Les Peyrautins, Fréderic Garrabou, employed a combination of modern thermovinification on 40% of the grapes and a more traditional fermentation for the balance. 30% of the wine was aged with French oak.
