Produced from a traditional blend, Leonor de Carrera was matured on lees for more than 15 months and has developed some toffee and caramel flavours which complement fresh sherbet fruits. The estate at Castellví de la Marca, to the west, covers 35 hectares of vines planted on deep sand and clay soils poor in organic matter. Winemaker Josep Maria Suriol promised his neighbour Leonor, who was born on the estate and tended the vines for many years, that he would continue her legacy.
