Nielluccio is genetically the same grape as Tuscany’s Sangiovese. In this terroir it displays a different personality – it’s a bit more edgy and a bit more austere. Cuvée l’Alzetana has redcurrant and bitter cherry characters. Initially light on the palate, it has a fine-grained texture and develops a grippy tannin finish. Grapes were de-stemmed and fermented at 27°C -30°C then matured in tank.
