Holloran Pinot Noir Willamette Valley, 2016

Oregon Willamette V

Grape Variety

Pinot Noir

2016 is a subtle wine with herbal red fruits, strawberry leaves and smoky aromas. It’s on the lighter side of medium bodied with mellow flavours of fruits and nutmeg spices. This was produced from selected barrels from different blocks, including some of Holloran’s oldest vineyards. An early start to the growing season followed by warmer than average temperatures resulted in a very early harvest in 2016. Grapes were harvested by hand, fermented in small lots with twice daily plunging of the skins by hand. It was matured for 18 months in French oak barrels.
