A standout wine in the lineup, it has aromas of fresh blackcurrants, herbs, spices and a touch of savoury cheese rind. It is fine in texture with a velvet structure and lots of fruit on the palate. Medium-bodied overall, it is dense with nice tannins on the finish. Merlot was blended with 15% Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. It was matured in large oak vats for 15 months.
