Domaine Martin Cairanne has musky aromas with undergrowth, incense, soot, coffee and woody notes. It is medium-bodied with a supple mid palate leading to chewy finish with lingering bitter olive flavours. Cairanne Appellation neighbours that of Rasteau and is named after the eponymous village that sits on a rocky outcrop. The Aigues River passes through the region on its way to meet the Rhône with vineyards planted on a variety of alluvial and iron rich soils.
