A complex wine with huge appeal, it has
aromas of vanilla oak, spice, dark fruits
with a touch of soot. It is light to medium-bodied with more sweet dark fruits on the palate. Blackberry and apple flavours cede to a savoury finish. Carignan and Mourvèdre form the backbone of the wine with some Syrah and Grenache. Each variety is handpicked, destemmed and undergoes 3-4 weeks fermentation and maceration on skins. It was matured in French oak for 12 months in the vaulted stone cellar, kept naturally cool and humid.
