A hugely characterful wine which is dense in colour: this was an immediate Coup de Coeur. It has smoky aromas with crushed blackberries and herbs. It is full-bodied, revealing more sweet, ripe forest-fruit flavours followed by some rustic chewy tannins. Woody and bitter cherry flavours linger on the finish.
Produced from four grape varieties, each was picked and vinified separately undergoing a long, slow fermentation and maceration of 30 days on skins.
