Cecile Lebrun Touraine AOC Touraine, 2021

France

Grape Variety

Cabernet Franc

Redcurrant and black cherry aromas are complemented by a hint of coconut. The palate is supple with fresh, ripe black fruits and sour blackberry. Grapes were harvested by hand and fermented in tank to retain freshness. Côt is the
same grape as the more widely known Malbec associated with Argentina. The variety, which originated in southwest France, was widely planted in Bordeaux
in the 18th and 19th centuries but very little exists today. A small amount is cultivated in the Loire, where it ripens
earlier than Cabernet Franc.
