Meticulous craftmanship goes into the Cabutto Tenuta La Volta Barolo. Long fermentations that can exceed 30 days allow for maximum extraction of colour, flavour and tannins. This is followed by 36 months of maturation in 5,000-litre Slavonian oak botte giving the wine time to integrate and build complexity. The bouquet is filled with the perfume of strawberry, cherry, rose and leather. There is a notable depth of flavour on the palate with notes of cherry, strawberry and mineral which transition into nuances of tea, sage, thyme and fennel in an exceptionally long finish. Mouth-coating tannins play off
mouthwatering acidity creating a firm structure that will allow this wine to continue to evolve for decades.
