Butterfly Ridge Chardonnay Monterey County, 2017

Cal Monterey County

Grape Variety

There is something about Monterey Chardonnay that makes it very distinctive. Mountain View Vintners have 40 acres in Monterey planted on clay soils. Chardonnay vines were planted in 1982, hence heading towards 40 years old. Butterfly Ridge 2017 Chardonnay is golden in colour with aromas of fresh seed fruits pears, apples combined with butterscotch. The wine spent just three months in oak. It has true Monterey cool climate character with a linear structure and spicy lime finish.
