Once again we gather for wine, food and friends at Edmonton's favourite Italian restaurant - Il Forno. We have reserved some fabulous wines for this event, and not to be outdone, owner Anna Muze has developed an outstanding 5 course menu to go with these wines. As always, we have an exclusive booking at this restaurant. Please note the event is a bit earlier in our calendar this year. This time, it is on a Saturday night! Typically this event sells out, so don't be left on the outside - book your tickets now!
The reception will include house made pizza as well as shrimp and beef skewers, paired with Zucchetto Valdobbiadene Extra Dry Prosecco. For dinner, the first course will be a creamed butternut squash soup with curry and ginger, paired with Cinciano Bianco Toscana 2018 - a lovely blend featuring Viogner. The pasta course will be gluten free gnocci in a rose sauce with pesto and fresh basil, paired with Dolcetto D'Alba 2016. The main course will be medallions of beef tenderloin in a red wine demi glaze and sauteed mushrooms, with sour cream mashed potatoes and roasted squash with asparagus. This will be paired with Cinquefile 2011 (a Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon blend). For dessert we will have panna cotta with a blueberry sauce, served with Macrame Primitivo 2016. Are you full yet?
