Hastwell & Lightfoot is one of South Australia’s most exciting and innovative winegrowers. They planted 16 hectares of vines in the deep sands of McLaren Vale’s Foggo Road in 1988. After Martin Lightfoot’s retirement, the winery is now under the guidance of next generation family members, with James Hastwell as the winemaker and his cousin Kishan Sidhu as General Manager. They continue to push their winegrowing frontiers, and their youthful exuberance is evident in the innovation and development of H&L’s wines through new varieties, new livery, and a new passion to showcase their wines. Mark & Kishan are working with Opimian since 2007.
TALK & TASTE with James Hastwell and Kishan Sidhu during our online event!
Mark and Kishan will talk about their wines and their winery, and will taste several of the wines offered in the current Cellar. It is a unique chance to ask them your questions directly!
Hastwell & Lightfoot est une des entreprises vinicoles les plus excitantes et innovantes d’Australie-Méridionale. Les couples Hastwell et Lightfoot ont planté 16 hectares de vignes dans les sols sableux profonds de Foggo Road à McLaren Vale en 1988. Après le départ à la retraite de Martin Lightfoot, l’entreprise est maintenant gérée par la nouvelle génération de la famille, avec le vigneron James Hastwell et son cousin, Kishan Sidhu, le directeur général. Ils continuent de repousser les limites de la viticulture et leur fougue est évidente lorsqu’on voit l’innovation et le développement des vins H&L, de par les nouveaux cépages utilisés, les nouveaux produits, et leur passion de présenter leurs vins. Mark & Kishan travaillent avec Opimian depuis 2007.
