Pinot Noir - The "Heartbreak" Grape
Vessel Tasting Room - The Cru's Nest
1609 Fort Street
Victoria, British Columbia
Pinot Noir is a 'particular' grape, which makes it a very difficult variety for grape growers, hence its nickname 'the hearbreak grape'. That said, it is a very easy variety to drink.
Pinot Noir wines have soft, light tannins and do not need time in the bottle to evolve but are enjoyable at all stages. We will taste four Opimian wines, from Burgundy, France, Willamette Valley and California, USA.
We will also taste two wines featured from Vessel Liquor Store that are from BC - Lightning Rock 2017 and Rathjen Cellars 2016. Mitch Renaud, from Vessel will guide us through our tasting.
Connect with your Opimian friends and learn more about Pinot Noir & the fasinating world of wines which will be available in future Cellar offerings.
