Join us for CELLAR IN A SNAP, a live online event to present the wines from C281 with Opimian’s exclusive producers!

This is the perfect way to find out more about Opimian's exclusive wines presented in Cellar 281, pick our producers’ brain and discover new wines!

For this edition featuring South Africa, we will be joined by FOUR fantastic producers from Bosman Family Vineyards, Groote Post, Richard Kershaw Wines and Vilafonté.

The Bosman Family have been vine growers in Wellington for 8 generations and created the largest vine nursery in Africa. In 2007, 8th generation Petrus Bosman returned to the long-held family dream and released the first wines from their newly renovated 270-year-old cellar. They have been Opimian producers since 2018. Corlea Fourie, Bosman’s winemaker, will present The Bosman wines.

Groote Post is a historic 18th century farm on the Cape's west coast where winemaking traditions have been revived by the Pentz family. Wines are produced to reflect the uniqueness of the Darling Hills vineyards. They have been Opimian producers since 2017. Nick Pentz, owner of Groote Post, will join us online.

Englishman Richard Kershaw MW founded his South African winery in 2012. Richard’s mission is to focus on noble grapes and create clonally selected, site-specific, cool climate wines in the Elgin Valley, South Africa’s coolest wine region. Richard has been an Opimian producer since 2016.

Vilafonté was founded in 1997 by California viticulturist Phil Freese, his winemaker wife Zelma Long and South African Mike Ratcliffe (from Warwick). The 24-hectare estare is located on the bench of the Simonsberg Mountains. The estate is named after ancient vilafontes soils dated to be between 750,000 and 1.5 million years old. Opimian has offered Vilafonté wines since 2014.

An event not to be missed!
